WHY WALK WHEN YOU CAN RUN?
Here are some answers to questions we often get asked.  Please give me a call so I can answer any additional questions and get your furry pal on a running schedule with MM soon

What if my dog (or dogs) is not used to running but needs the exercise?

Your dog sets the pace each time.  If I’m walking a dog it is because they are tired or we are taking a break but most of the time we start out around 3 miles and by the end of a few months we are going closer to 5 / 5.5 in the hour we are out.

Will my dog be with other dogs on the run?

NO.  Each dog (unless there are a more than one per family) goes out on its own and the full hour is focused on that pet's exercise.  You may request that we visit a dog park in which case I would recommend a doggy daycare as a better option but am happy to do whatever works for you and your pet.

Will my dog have water along the way during the runs?

Absolutely!  Marathonmutt takes pride in keeping your furry friends happy and healthy and we have scoped out the water fountains that don’t have germs from other animals.  Most dogs won’t drink out of the public fountains but they like the ones we have found.  We make drinking fun. Here is  Lucy and Elsie's favorite fountain.

Can we get my dog on a daily or couple times a week schedule?

YES, we (my husband and I) have many clients now but have room for more and are going to start biking with dogs that we feel comfortable with.

Why does your price start at $50 / Hour when the dog walkers are far less expensive?

We are very different than a dog walker.  If your furry friend is lucky enough to spend an hr a couple times a week with us they will be running, fast walking, playing, sprinting, galloping and stretching in the sand, sniffing up in the green belt and being a DOG.  I always wish the owners could join me on the runs to see how much fun we have.  But I’m sure your dog tells you…
