I love dogs. Whether it was playing with a neighborhood dog, volunteering at the Humane Society, or just begging my mom for a dog, it was clear this love would grow to become my number one passion in life.
As a dog groomer in high school I was able to surround myself with many different breeds and get to know the body structure and characteristics of the dogs I run today. College was supported by working as a Vet Tech for 4 years and here I was able to learn the essentials in owning and caring for your animals as well as how to treat certain ailments or discomforts. It was then that I moved from the east coast to the west coast in search of better weather and my wonderful (and thank gawd pet loving) husband, Chris.
In the course of my 32 years I have owned a Weimaraner, Rodesian Ridgeback, German Shepard, Black lab, 2 Saint Bernards, several mutts and we now have a Pug, Yorkie and Affenpinscher. The 3 friends I own now are very tiny and not suited for the long runs I do. I believe having a dog on a run makes the workout much more enjoyable and benefits both the 2 and 4 legged runner.
I look forward to having your furry friend on my next run.
